How To Join

Becoming a Member of the Club

If you are interested in joining our club, the easiest way is to come along to one of our meetings as a visitor, free of charge and with no obligation. You will then be able to get comfortable with the proceedings, and even participate in Table Topics if you wish.

You will be able to observe how we practice public speaking in a friendly, supportive and good-humoured atmosphere.

As a visitor you will receive a welcome kit with further information about our club and about Toastmasters, as well as a Glenbrook Toastmasters Club Membership Form.

When you are ready to join, you will need to fill in the application form and pay the joining fee, as well as a pro-rata membership fee (Club’s Direct Deposit Details).  To become a member, there is a joining fee of $60 plus a membership fee of $102 payable every six months.  As a non-profit organisation, our aim is to provide an enjoyable, affordable way of gaining great communication skills.

After you have joined, you will receive access to Toastmasters International Website and Boot Camp, where you can choose your educational stream and access:

  • Pathways: 6 specialized learning paths to choose from, with more than 300 unique competencies.  Training, documentation and videos are included.
  • A Toastmaster Wears Many Hats: How to make the most of Toastmasters meetings and how to perform roles at meetings such as running Table Topics, Timing and Evaluation.
  • Toastmasters Magazine: Learn about Toastmasters events, read deep dives on topics such as mentorship, learn about the history of Toastmasters.
  • And lots more.

Toastmasters membership fees are generally tax-deductible if your participation in Toastmasters is intended to further your professional career.
